Privacy Notice
How Provintell collects, uses and protects personal data under the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024.
For customers, partners, resellers, subscribers and guests. Effective 16 January 2024.
This Privacy Notice explains how Provintell processes personal data in compliance with the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024 (PDPA) and the laws of Malaysia. Provintell will only collect, hold, use, disclose and store your personal information in accordance with those laws.
For the purpose of this notice, Provintell refers to Provintell Technologies Sdn. Bhd. and its affiliates, and personal information refers to any information which relates directly or indirectly to you or your transactions with us.
Types of personal information collected
To provide you with our products and services we need to collect personal data to contact or identify you. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Personal data you provide when you register for, request or subscribe to our products, services or mailing list, such as name, email, phone number, address, location and payment information.
- Information about your organization and your contacts, such as colleagues.
- Your image and voice when you attend a physical or virtual event organised by Provintell.
Sources of collection
We may obtain this information from you and from a variety of sources, including but not limited to:
- Verbal and written communications with us, our authorised partners or our resellers.
- Registration for or attendance at an event organised by Provintell.
- The transactions you make and the payments made from your accounts or facilities.
- Your visits to our websites or access to our services, which include your mobile device or computer Internet Protocol address, and information collected through cookies on our websites.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to store your preferences, to analyse use for the purpose of providing products and services to you, and to improve or personalise our services. You may adjust settings on your browser or mobile device so that you are notified when you receive a cookie. You may choose not to receive cookies, or to disable them, if you do not wish to have information collected this way.
How we use your personal information
- To assess and validate your requests for our products and services.
- To notify you about updates and benefits to our products and services.

- For audit, complaint and risk management purposes.

- To protect or enforce our rights to recover any debt owing to us.
- For any other purpose required or permitted by law, regulation or a relevant regulatory authority.
Location of personal information
Your personal information may be stored or accessed inside and outside Malaysia. Whenever we transfer personal information to another jurisdiction, we ensure it is transferred in accordance with this notice and as permitted by applicable data protection laws.
Disclosure of data
Provintell may be required or need to disclose information to third parties:
- Companies and organizations that provide services to us in communicating our products and services to you.
- Companies and organizations acting as our business partners, affiliates, service providers or professional advisers, within or outside Malaysia, where necessary.
- Your advisers or representatives, where you have authorised it.
Provintell will treat your personal information as private and confidential, and will not disclose it to anyone outside Provintell except where you have given permission, where we are required or permitted to do so by law, or where we are required to meet an obligation to a relevant regulatory authority inside or outside Malaysia.
Security of your personal information
The security of your personal data matters to Provintell. We regularly review and implement up-to-date technical and organizational security measures when processing your personal information.
Links to other sites
Our website may contain links to sites we do not operate. Review the privacy notice of every site you visit. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy notices or practices of any third-party site or service.
Children’s personal information
Provintell does not provide any product or service to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If your child has provided us with personal data, contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take the steps needed to remove it from our storage.
Retention of your personal information
Provintell retains your personal data in compliance with this notice for the duration of your relationship with us, or for the period we deem necessary or that is required by our relevant policies or by law. Your personal data is disposed of appropriately when there is no longer a need to retain it.
Your rights to access and correct your personal information
We help you access and correct the personal data we hold about you. Provintell uses reasonable efforts to comply with your request to access or correct it, and applies discretion in allowing a request in order to avoid fraud and inaccuracy.
Revisions to this notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised from time to time. Notice of a revision will be given on our website or by other means of communication we deem suitable.
